Facilitation of Stakeholder Meetings

Facilitating high-level global health stakeholder meetings is one of M&IHC’s core strategies to bridging the gap between research and implementation. This includes facilitating both remote and in-person meetings that often span numerous countries, organizations, and stakeholders.

Global Nutrition

Nutrition International hired M&IHC to conduct global nutrition research across five thematic areas. M&IHC presented this research through facilitating a meeting in Canada with a small working group of global experts representing multiple agencies (UNICEF, WHO, Sight and Life, Johns Hopkins University, Nutrition International, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Aga Khan University, and others). This project culminated in a final report and a roadmap of next steps to move a key nutrition goal forward.

Multiple Micronutrient Supplements

The Micronutrient Forum hired M&IHC to facilitate a two-day stakeholder consultation to achieve a greater shared understanding of multiple micronutrient supplement (MMS) evidence, policy, advocacy, and implementation efforts. M&IHC produced A Landscape Analysis of MMS Legislation, Activity, and Priorities as a pre-read for meeting participants.

M&IHC facilitated and presented to 37 in-person stakeholders and 6 remote stakeholders during the Washington, DC-based consultation. The meeting involved coordinating participation and presentations from 27 organizations. The successful stakeholder consultation resulted in the alignment of priorities and gaps related to MMS advocacy, policy, and implementation.
